Operating schedule and rules

The cable car operates daily, but its service is divided into blocks with a lunch break:²

Morning block: 09:00-11:30.²

Lunch break (the cable car stops): 11:30-13:30.²

Afternoon block: 13:30-17:00.²

Ride closing times: the water park and island rides close at 16:20-16:45.^1,2

Last departure: the final cabin from Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom) Island departs strictly at 17:00. Chat participants advise reaching the return station at 16:00-16:20 to avoid huge closing-time queues.²

Tickets and prices

There is no separate “travel only” ticket without entertainment: a single pass is sold for the cable car and island complex.^1,2

What a standard ticket includes:

Return cable car travel.

Unlimited access to Aquatopia water park.²

Dry-land rides: the Roaring Timbers wooden roller coaster and the Eagle’s Eye rotating observation tower.

Electric vehicle (buggy) transfers to Ciao Beach on Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom) Island, which has visitor facilities.

Kiss Bridge access depends on your chosen package. Daytime bridge entry and access to watch Symphony of the Sea during the show have different conditions. Do not assume a show ticket is included with a standard cable car ticket unless your selected combo explicitly includes it.²

A promotional coupon for a free glass of beer or juice at park venues, obtained using the ticket QR code.^1,2

Ticket prices (at the ticket office and online):

Standard ticket (without lunch): 700,000-850,000 VND for adults; 550,000-700,000 VND for children (height 100-140 cm). Children up to 100 cm tall enter free.^1,2

Combo ticket with a buffet lunch: 990,000-1,150,000 VND for adults; 700,000-900,000 VND for children.²

Main attractions on Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom) Island

Aquatopia water park:

A huge water area with more than 20 modern slides, from family slides and a lazy river to high-speed thrill tubes.²

Locker rental costs 50,000 VND (+50,000 VND deposit). It is best to bring towels from your hotel or rent them on site.^1,2

Thrill rides and dry-land attractions:

Eagle’s Eye: a rising tower that rotates smoothly through 360 degrees for views of the entire island.^1,2

Roaring Timbers: a high-speed wooden roller coaster.

Ciao Beach:

A scenic coastal area with white sand, sun loungers and palms. Free buggies run continuously between the water park and beach.^1,2

Buffet restaurant:

Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom) / Mango Restaurant offers a buffet with Peking duck, seafood, pho bo soup, grilled dishes and fruit. Entry is available from 11:30 to 14:15. Note: wet swimwear is not permitted in the restaurant.^1,2

Important water park rules and restrictions

Strict checks for metal parts: necklaces, watches and rings are strictly prohibited on extreme water slides, as are swimsuits or trunks with metal fittings, zips and clasps. In the children’s area, you may be asked to remove earrings.^1,2

Food and drinks: these may be inspected at the entrance, so it is best to leave unnecessary items at the hotel or put them in your bag beforehand.^1,2

What to do in Sunset Town after returning

After returning by cable car by 17:00, it is worth spending the evening in Sunset Town:²

Symphony of the Sea is a jet ski and flyboard show on the water by the Sunset Town waterfront. It is a different programme from Kiss of the Sea in the amphitheatre. Sun World plans the new version for 10 November 2026; check the actual launch, showtime and admission conditions for your date. Daytime Kiss Bridge entry does not replace a show ticket.²

Shows and evening programme:

Kiss of the Sea multimedia show: a grand production in the seaside amphitheatre with fire, projections and a large evening fireworks display (~21:00).²

Getting there

Taxi: from the island’s centre (Dương Đông (Duong Dong)), booking through Grab or Xanh SM is convenient (~280,000-300,000 VND, around 25-30 minutes).²

From the north, take VinBus route 19 to InterContinental and continue by taxi. Route 19 does not reach Sunset Town or the cable car station. Public bus fares apply unless you qualify for an exemption; check the taxi fare and journey time when booking.^1,2
