Where to find “Vietnamese Venice”

Grand World is near Bai Dai in the Ganh Dau area and forms part of Phu Quoc United Center. This is the island’s northwest. It is convenient for planning separate Safari and VinWonders trips, but each complex has its own entrances and programme.

For navigation, choose Grand World Phu Quoc: projects with the same name also exist elsewhere in Vietnam. First mark your bus stop or drop-off point on the map, then the canal, Bamboo Legend and your selected show venue. This makes it easier to plan a walk without unnecessary backtracking.

A free walk and paid entertainment

No general admission ticket is needed to walk along Grand World’s public streets. You can see the canals, façades and public spaces. The “sleepless city” concept does not mean the museum, boat station and all businesses operate around the clock.

Boat rides, Teddy Bear Museum and the large evening production The Quintessence of Vietnam are separate paid attractions. Food, shopping and rentals are also not included in free access. You can spend the evening simply walking, or choose one or two extras in advance.

Canals and gondolas: a little Venice

The most recognisable part of Grand World is the canal with colourful European façades, small bridges and pedestrian waterfronts. Walk a circuit along the bank before buying a boat ticket: the bridges and waterfront also offer good photo angles.

The official Venice Flow programme lists gondola rides between 09:00 and 21:00. These are reference hours on the checking date, not a guarantee of last boarding without a queue. For daylight photographs, it is best not to leave the boat ride until the big evening show.

Bamboo Legend and the traditional Vietnamese area

Bamboo Legend is a large bamboo structure and a prominent architectural landmark in the complex. Include it in the daylight part of your walk, when its construction and material texture are clearly visible. You can then move on to the traditional Vietnamese cultural space.

A daytime visit to The Quintessence of Vietnam area and the evening production are different experiences. Check available entrances and when the daytime programme ends. Ao dai hire, photography, workshops and shopping may have separate terms; a free walk does not confirm that these services are free.

Teddy Bear Museum: a separate stop

Teddy Bear Museum suits visitors who want to add themed scenery and photographs to their outdoor walk. For a family, it can be an activity in its own right before dinner, rather than a hurried dash between two evening shows.

The operator’s reference table on 14 October 2026 lists 200,000 ₫ for guests at least 140 cm tall and 150,000 ₫ for the category from 100 cm to under 140 cm. Before buying, compare separate admission with a combo, and check the museum’s hours and the inclusions of your chosen offer.

The Quintessence of Vietnam: the large evening production

The Quintessence of Vietnam, or Tinh Hoa Việt Nam, is a theatrical performance about Vietnamese culture with actors, sets and multimedia effects. On the checking date, its official page lists a daily session at 20:15-21:00 and a price of 300,000 ₫.

This is a separate production in its own performance area. Arrive early, find the correct entrance and allow time for ticket checks. Free daytime access to the cultural space does not automatically entitle you to a seat at the evening production.

Colors of Venice: the lakeside show

Colors of Venice is listed as temporarily suspended in the ticket seller’s notice. There is no confirmed restart date. Do not plan around its old evening timetable; check the programme with the venue.

Budget: boats, shows and combos

The operator’s reference prices on the checking date: Venice boat ride, 200,000 ₫ for the category at least 140 cm tall and 150,000 ₫ for the category from 100 cm to under 140 cm; the evening Quintessence, 300,000 and 230,000 ₫ respectively. A boat ticket should not be treated as hire of the entire boat for that amount.

The operator’s table lists free admission for guests under 100 cm. Check final categories, accompaniment rules and inclusions for your chosen ticket. Prices are provided as references in local currency, not as guaranteed booking prices for every date.

A combo makes sense if you actually want to visit all the included places. Check its validity period, whether a session reservation is required and the difference between a regular boat ticket and priority boarding. Save the QR code and description of the offer you paid for.

Getting there and returning after the show

For a bus, open VinBus’s official route search, select Phu Quoc and your stop. Traveller tips often mention numbers 17 and 19, but check the current route, drop-off point, fare and last return service for your own trip.

Do not assume free travel for every passenger or on any internal electric vehicle based only on an old review. If your ticket or accommodation provides a transport benefit, find out how to prove eligibility before boarding.

Arrange your return around your walk or a confirmed performance. Agree a taxi meeting point by a vehicle-accessible road in advance, rather than timing departure around the old water-show schedule.

An afternoon itinerary

15:30-17:00: arrive, see Bamboo Legend and the accessible daytime cultural area. If the teddy bear museum is your main interest, start there and check its last admission time.

17:00-19:30: a canal-side walk, an optional boat ride, then dinner. If adding Bãi Dài (Bai Dai Beach), check the nearest public access in advance and do not count on automatic access to hotel facilities.

After dinner, stroll along the illuminated streets and canal or return to your hotel. Colors of Venice is listed as temporarily suspended in the ticket seller’s notice, so waiting for the lake show is not part of this itinerary. For a different performance, check its separate ticket and current programme.

With children, in rain and after a major park

With children, choose one main activity, eat beforehand and keep the option to leave early. Do not build the evening around two consecutive shows: Colors of Venice is listed as temporarily suspended in the ticket seller’s notice.

The canals and show venues are outdoors. In poor weather, follow the organiser’s announcements. After a full day at Safari or VinWonders, do not make this entire itinerary compulsory: a walk and dinner may be a more comfortable end to the day.
