Phu Quoc in 3, 5 and 7 days: itineraries with time to spare

For three days, choose an introduction to the centre, south and northern coast. For five days, add a separate cable car trip and a free day. A week allows a day for Safari and more time by the sea. These are editorial suggestions, not a confirmed schedule.

Based on public sources, not an account of a personal visit.

3 days: getting to know the island

Keep the first day for Dinh Cậu (Dinh Cau) and the west coast at Bãi Trường (Bai Truong). The second combines Ho Quoc and Bãi Khem (Khem Beach). The third is devoted to the northwest: Bai Dai and Ganh Dau. Do not try to fit two large parks into the same day.

5 days: a separate day for Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom)

A separate day around the cable car station is added to the three-day introduction. The cable car runs from An Thới (An Thoi) to Hòn Thơm (Hon Thom); activities on the island depend on your chosen ticket. The last day is left free for rest or rescheduling.

7 days: rest between the major outings

A break follows the days in the centre and south and the cable car trip. Next come a separate Safari visit, a day on the northern coast and a quiet day in Ông Lang (Ong Lang). Do not replace rest days with more trips just because there are still plenty of markers on the map.

What to do if it rains or a sea trip is cancelled

Swap your free day with the day of your sea programme. If a boat trip is cancelled, discuss rescheduling or a refund with the organiser instead of looking for a driving route to the islands in the plan. A walk, a café or relaxation near your accommodation can be a day in its own right.

How many places to plan per day

Two or three stops are our guideline for a moderate day, not a measurement of journey times. In these examples, the cable car and Safari have separate days. Check entrances, schedules, distances from your accommodation and return transport times.

Open and adapt a ready-made plan

The buttons below pass actual place IDs to the planner. There you can change the order, remove or add a stop, save your plan and open a day’s route in Google Maps. The empty day is intentional. A paid sea tour is booked separately and is not built into the road route.
